Everywhere we look, we see more and more articles about Lordstown’s electric pickup, the Enterstion. But what’s so great about Lordstown Motors? Is it worth paying attention to the sustainability of Lordstown 2022?
Lordstown Endurance 2022 – good lorry ?
Yes, Lordstown Entertainment is making waves in the auto industry. Cleveland 19 says it already has 100,000 pre-orders for the fleet. It is expected to take years for this all-electric pickup to fill those orders.
It is not yet known when this truck will be available to regular customers. However, legislation will be introduced to allow electric vans from Lordstown Entering to be sold directly rather than through dealers.

This is very interesting because it eliminates the middleman and brings the price down. Dealers typically add a surcharge to the maximum price of vehicles to make a profit. Insurance should start at about $45,000 after the transfer.
The Ford F-150 Hybrid starts at about $51,900 before extras and shipping. The Ford F-150 EV, which is all-electric, may have a higher starting price, so the Endurance could be really competitively priced.
What can endurance do?
The endurance of the 2022 Lordstown should make it an incredibly capable off-roader, and it’s already being put to the test. According to CNET, the endurance race will take place next April in San Felipe, in California’s Baja Desert, over a distance of 290 miles.
This truck will have to drive in harsh desert conditions, but it should be well equipped. A 109 kWh battery provides a 250-mile range and four 600-hp hub motors.

Lordstown Motors claims the truck has 4,400 lb-ft of torque, but that figure may have been multiplied by the final drive. The Hummer EV has a torque of 11,500 lb-ft. Nevertheless, you can expect the Endurance to produce 700-800 lb-ft of torque.
Endurance will compete, although there is no final production model yet. But it will have the same skateboard architecture as the final pickup. Crawling through some of the toughest sections of the Baja, four-wheel drive is put to the test.
Drivers will have to drive slowly because the Endurance has no love springs, and measures will be taken to prevent braking on parts. Due to the severity of the conditions, the load may be empty sooner than expected, and no details have been released on how Lordstown will keep this truck in the load.
What else do we know about endurance?
Lordstown’s endurance should be able to pull about 6,000 pounds. That’s pretty weak compared to the competition. Even the Ford Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds. According to Car and Driver, the payload is not yet known.
