Everything depends on context, even the cars. When we see photos of cars or trucks online, it can be difficult to understand the scale if we don’t have context on which to base the size. I remember being shocked at the size of the Jeep Gladiator. By my estimate, it was about the same size as a regular Wrangler, although in reality those were a bit longer and more muscular. The Rivian isn’t on the market yet, but we’re seeing more and more from the electric truck maker, and a video has just been released showing the Rivian R1S alongside the 1500 chassis. Next to the Econo-Vehicle, the Ram seems small.
Rivian R1S was seen near frame 1500.
According to InsideEVs, many people were concerned about the size of the R1S and R1T in Riva. (For your information, the R1S is the SUV platform and the R1T is the pickup version). While the bed size of the R1T may still be a concern for some, this new video showing the Ram 1500 behind the Rivian R1S should make doubters hesitate.
Perspective is everything. Rivian seems smaller than Aries, but the more you look, the more you wonder if they are smaller than they seem. Fortunately, there were other cars nearby that provided valuable information.
How does this relate to others in traffic?
APPROPRIATE: Where are the Rivian salesmen?
As Rivian shudders at the red light, a GMC Terrain drives by, giving us a better idea of the EV’s size. It is considerably wider and thicker than the GMC. Despite the slight angle in the photo, it looks like the Rivian is slightly larger than the GMC. At one point a Ford Escape drives by, and although the Ford is slightly larger, the Rivians hit it on the ox. It’s more massive, wider and versatile, more confident on the road than the Ford.
Finally, the real rival, the Chevy Suburban, arrives. The suburb is so large that it isolates most of Rivia. By the time Suburbia is over the back half, they are tied with Rivia for second place and EV is way ahead in size. But this shouldn’t surprise anyone. The Rivian R1S was never designed to be the size of a Burbank.
What else do we know about the Rivian R1S?
The Rivian R1S is designed for three-row off-roaders. This modern SUV may not rival the Suburban in terms of the number of people it can carry, but with seven seats and a range of over 300 miles, this modern SUV is ideal for family and adventure.
The R1S is powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel. It’s not just about more power, it’s about giving each wheel the right amount of power to get a good four-wheel drive. These four engines work together to enable a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 3 seconds. It can also propel itself to within one meter of water, and thanks to the location of the battery, the center of gravity is very low, allowing for better control and stability.

The coolest thing about the R11S and R1T is that they are specifically designed for people who enjoy outdoor activities. Rivian supports remote control with built-in 4G and Wi-Fi.
Rivian offers flexible chairs that fold and tilt in a variety of ways to fit all your outdoor gear, whatever it may be. The cabin is equipped with creative storage boxes and areas where you can store important items and valuables, so you have them at hand when you need them. The lack of an engine also provides a lot of space that even the good old suburbs can’t offer.
Rivian R1S and R1T would be really cool.
I don’t want to come across as a Rivian fanboy, I just think they will make owners very happy. I’ve never driven a car, and frankly I’m not a big fan of EVs yet either. I’m intimidated by the fear and novelty, but Rivian trucks seem to be made with care and attention. This is one of the few cars that really seems to have our best interests at heart. This is a rare thing. In the meantime, we wait and hope for a noise in the city.
