The Best Buy award from Kelley Blue Book is always an impressive win. The 2021 Genesis GV80 earned this award for midsize luxury SUVs in its first year. Genesis is Hyundai’s luxury brand that made its debut in 2015.
Genesis has struggled to gain a foothold in the luxury brand market, but that could change. The GV80 is exactly what is needed to catapult the Genesis into the automotive world. It is a worthy competitor to other luxury SUVs on the market.
In 2021, the Genesis GV80 wins awards in its first year.
Highlights of the Kelley Blue Book include a host of advanced technologies and comprehensive safety features, as well as a rear electronic limited slip differential. It is also the first Genesis SUV to be offered with five or seven seats.

APPROPRIATE: What are the features of the Genesis GV80?
Starting with an 8-speed automatic transmission with standard shift paddles, you have the choice of a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower or a twin-turbo V6 that produces 375 horsepower.
Rear-wheel drive is standard, but you can upgrade to all-wheel drive. Both engines produce more than enough power for comfortable highway or city driving.
The interior impresses with luxurious leather seats that also offer a massage function, active noise cancellation, and LED mood lighting available in a variety of colors.
There’s also a pretty amazing premium audio system with 21 speakers, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. It also has a 14.5-inch touchscreen and a blind spot monitor that activates when the turn signals are activated.
It is just as elegant on the outside, some compare it to a Bentley. The hood and doors are aluminum to save weight, and the 22-inch wheels look big on paper but aren’t in reality.
Still new in block.

Although the Genesis is still new to the luxury market, winning the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy award is an impressive honor that will help the Genesis compete with the superpowers of the luxury market.
Winning this award in its first year is an achievement that should encourage other brands and consumers to take note. It will take a few more years to establish the reliability of the Genesis, the GV80 looks like an impressive first step as a luxury SUV.
The brand will only benefit if it can maintain the reasonable price, technology and standard features installed on the GV80. Another Best Buy award from Kelley Blue Book next year would not only solidify Genesis’ leadership in the luxury SUV market.
Getting into a relatively unknown brand, even with the Hyundai name behind it, can be intimidating. Trying your luck in the luxury market can be even more daunting because of the costs involved. It looks like the 2021 Genesis GV80 is a risk worth taking, with a great value, it will be a strong contender in the luxury SUV market.
