The Redesigned 2021 Honda Ridgeline Still Has a Minivan Soul

As tough as the exterior of the new Honda Ridgeline 2021 is, it shares a platform with the Honda Odyssey minivan. But Honda knows what they’re doing, and that’s not a bad thing. That’s one reason why the Honda pickup is among the top of its class. Even if we look at it from the bright side, the fact remains. The rebuilt Honda Ridgeline still has the soul of a minivan.

Honda Odyssey | American Honda Motor Co.

What platform is the Honda Ridgeline built on?

According to Honda, the updated Honda Ridgeline is based on Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body design. Although the chassis design has been tweaked to compensate for truck bodywork and a slightly larger luggage rack, the all-new 2021 Ridgeline is based on the same platform as the Honda Odyssey.

ACCEPTED : Taco Tuesday: What is the future of the Toyota Tacoma in 2022?

This promotes a balanced ride of Ridgeline products. It is also smoother and quieter on asphalt than its competitors. At the time of writing, the Honda Ridgeline is the only 2021 compact pickup model with one seat. Others, such as the Toyota Tacoma and the Ford Ranger, are body-on-chassis trucks.

The Honda Odyssey 2022 minivan is based on the same platform as the Honda ?pickup truck.

Yes, these two Honda models share a common platform. We looked at the stats at the bottom of Car and Driver’s page about the Honda Odyssey 2022 minivan and the redesigned Ridgeline truck. We see the same engine and suspension. However, the Honda Odyssey minivan has slightly smaller dimensions.

ACCEPTED : The first 5 ATVs of the year 2021

There’s also a big difference between the revamped Ridgeline and the 2022 Odyssey. The Honda Ridgeline 2021 comes standard with four-wheel drive. The Honda Odyssey minivan does not share this resemblance with its pickup truck counterpart.

Does the Honda Odyssey minivan have four-wheel drive?

No, the 2022 Honda Odyssey still does not offer all-wheel drive (AWD). Currently, the only AWD minivans in this segment are the Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica. Although the Honda Odyssey 2022 has the same powerful and improved V6 powertrain as the upgraded Ridgeline truck, it does not have the AWD option.

This is perhaps the biggest difference between these two vehicles in the Honda lineup. Although they couldn’t be more different on the outside – a tough Honda pickup and a family van with sliding doors – they are very similar on the inside. However, the Ridgeline comes standard with a four-wheel-drive powertrain, while the Odyssey doesn’t even offer this option.

ACCEPTED : The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB250 is a truly affordable Mercedes SUV.

Is it the same price?

Pretty much, yeah. The 2022 Honda Odyssey starts a few thousand dollars lower and goes higher. It also offers an additional level of finish over the updated Ridgeline truck. According to Car and Driver, admission prices range from $33,265 to $49,995, including destination fees.

2021 Honda Ridgeline interior | Honda

The starting price of the Honda Ridgeline 2021 is slightly higher than that of the Odyssey, but the maximum price is lower. The new Honda pickup starts at $37,665 to $45,095, including destination – depending on the vehicle and driver. It makes sense that a Family Odyssey would start with a budget-friendly price tag.

Overall, the two cars are very similar. They share technology, engines and suspension. The Odyssey is a great vehicle that even a pickup truck shouldn’t be ashamed of. However, there’s no denying that the 2021 Honda Ridgeline still has the soul of a minivan.

frequently asked questions

How many miles does a Honda Ridgeline last?

The benchmark was 200,000 miles, with over 3% of Ridgelines on the route exceeding 300,000 miles. According to the owners’ mileage, the new Honda Ridgeline should be able to cover another 300,000 miles. So you can expect your Honda Ridgeline truck to cover at least 250 to 300,000 miles.

What is the best place to rent an RV near Yosemite National Park?

In our opinion, the best place to rent an RV is Outdoorsy. Here’s why:

  • A wide choice of caravans
  • Excellent reviews
  • You process all documents and reservations
  • You process the deposit
  • This is the most reliable RV rental.
  • Excellent customer service

In fact, we love it so much that we’ve set up a special discount for our readers and subscribers, so you can save up to $100 or more by renting from Outdoorsy.

Two other peer-to-peer RV rental companies are worth mentioning, RVshare and RVezy. They both work as if they were in the open air.

Is it safe to rent a van?

It is very safe to rent a van. All RV owners have received training on how to clean their RVs as recommended by the CDC.

And camping and caravanning in general are activities that are far removed from society. We go camping and never get within 30 feet of anyone unless we want to. It is also very easy to stay at a social distance while hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking and many other outdoor activities.

What do I need to bring when I rent a van?

What you need to bring depends on what is included in your rental motorhome. Motorhome rentals, like Outdoorsy’s, usually include many components because the owner of the motorhome also uses one. So most of what you need is on board.

However, if you rent from a recreational vehicle dealer or rental company, nothing is included. You will probably have to pay for extras and stop by Walmart to buy things like a coffee maker, toaster, grill, etc.

But wherever you rent, you are responsible for your own food and camping equipment.

Do I need a special driver’s license to rent a recreational vehicle in Yosemite NP?

Remember to ask the owner of the vehicle you will be renting if a special permit is required. However, you don’t usually need a special driving licence to drive a van.

How do I rent a van?

Renting an RV is like renting a vacation home for a week on VRBO or Airbnb. Here are the simple steps:

1️⃣ Log in to Outdoorsy and enter your destination and the dates you want to travel.
2️⃣ Use filters to limit the number of camper types and their characteristics.
3️⃣ Contact the owner if you have any questions
4️⃣ Rent a car (if you have any questions just call customer service and they will guide you)
5️⃣ Fill out all the information to get insurance and pay your deposit.
6️⃣ Meet the owner to pick up your RV – he’ll give you a tour!
7️⃣ Have a nice camper holiday!
8️⃣ Bring the car back!

Will I need to pay a security deposit to hire a Motorhome?

Yes, you must pay a deposit to rent a recreational vehicle. As with everything you rent, from the car to the apartment, a security deposit is required.

But Outdoorsy takes care of all the details of your deposit and payment so that you and the owner have a secure transaction.

for a one way motorhome trip near Yosemite?

Yes, there is a one-way rental. Most major national rental companies and some recreational vehicle rental companies on Outdoorsy offer them. However, this type of rental usually comes with high costs.

For example, Susan and I inquired about a one-way trip from San Francisco to San Diego, which cost $500. Pretty cool.

Can I rent a van and install it on the campsite?

Yes! Of course you can!

Suppose you want to rent a tow vehicle, such as a trailer or a fifth wheel, but you can’t pull it. Well, Outdoorsy offers rental accommodations where the owner delivers his RV directly to your campsite, sets everything up for you, pays you an orientation visit and then returns it at the end of your stay. There’s nothing more practical than that.

Some RV owners offer free delivery and installation, but most charge for this service. It’s usually in the $100 range.

Professional advice : Try to find an RV rental company as close to your campsite as possible to keep costs down. Maybe you could even talk to the owner and ask him to give it away for free!

Are pets allowed in a mobile home?

Yes and no… some caravan owners offer pet hire and some do not. I would say 70% of rental properties are pet friendly. You can even use the term pet-friendly as a filter when you limit your choices to considering only for pets.

10 amazing things to do in Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park has been a favorite destination for climbers and nature lovers for decades. People from all over the world come to this breathtaking national park to see it in all its glory. It is filled with breathtaking views, beautiful scenery and wonderful flora and fauna. There are so many things to think about when coming to Yosemite it can be overwhelming. So here are some of the best things to do when you come to Yosemite National Park.

1. Check Yosemite Falls

Yosemite Falls is one of the most memorable and distinctive features of Yosemite National Park. The waterfall keeps popping up in the treetops and corners as you make your way through the valley. However, you will have a new experience every time, because every nook and cranny is different.

If you have to walk far to see anything, you won’t do it at Yosemite Falls. Instead, you can get the best view of the falls from the beginning of the hike to Yosemite Falls. You can also get to the base of the waterfall with a minimum of effort and be enveloped by the mist.

2. Visit to the half dome

The Half Dome is one of the most famous walls in the world and one of the most famous parts of Yosemite National Park. It is a flat granite wall that attracts thousands of tourists and climbers every year. When you first see the wall, you will understand why climbers are attracted to it. The size is breathtaking, but at the same time beautiful.

You can see Half Dome in the distance from Tunnel View, but it’s not the best place to see it. Go to Glacier Point for a better view. From there, you can reach Half Dome in all its splendor.

If you prefer a better view, the hike to Mirror Lake is your best option. This allows you to reach the surface of the stone almost directly. You can also take a hike in Half Dome if you are comfortable with that. It’s not your average hike though, so you need to be prepared for a long and arduous hike.

3. Departure to El Capitan.

If there’s one wall that can compete with Half Dome, it’s El Capitan. El Capitan is a 3,000-foot cliff on the north side of Yosemite Valley. Although you may not know it by looking at it, it is in fact 1000 feet higher than Half Dome.

El Capitan entered pop culture in 2017 with Alex Honnold’s free climb. A documentary was made, Free Solo, about his ascent of the wall without a rope or protective gear. If you’re anyone else in the world, you want to go to the top of the wall on the other side. You can climb to the top of El Capitan and enjoy the incredible views that come with it.

4. Tunnel view

We’ve said it several times, but you have to see Tunnel View. From here you will see El Capitan on the left and Bride’s Fall on the right. You can even see Half Dome in the distance.

Although it is a beautiful sight at any time of the day, it is especially beautiful in the afternoon. Then the walls are bathed in sunlight and you see everything in its best light.

5. Go to glacier point

If you want a great view of the entire valley, go to Glacier Point. At 7200 feet, you can see almost every other place in the valley. About an hour’s drive from the village of Yosemite to Glacier Point. But you don’t have to get there in one go, as there are several hikes and viewpoints in the area that you can explore.

If you go to Glacier Point, make sure you do the 4-mile hike. It descends 3,200 feet into Yosemite Valley and ends at Sentinel Rock. Also note that, despite the name, the trail is actually closer to 8 miles. This hike can be difficult as it is steep and in relatively poor condition.

6. Autumn bridal shower

Another classic in Yosemite National Park is the Bridalvale Falls. It is located on the southern slope of the valley and is easily accessible on foot. There’s a shortcut that will get you there. When you get to the base of the waterfall, you can feel the spray of the water against the rocks at the base of the waterfall.

7. Hiking on the road to Tioga

As you descend the Tioga Road, you will see beautiful alpine scenery. You’ll see wildflowers blooming in open meadows and pristine lakes and reflected on mountain peaks. Because of the altitude, however, the road is only open in the summer. The eastern entrance to the park is at an elevation of 9,945 feet.

8. Visit to the museum and Indian village of Yosemite

Although many believe that Yosemite is only known for its natural wonders, the place was inhabited by Aborigines more than 3,000 years ago. Once in the village you will learn all about the first inhabitants who made this valley their home. There is a museum where objects are displayed and doctors give demonstrations and answer questions.

The building itself is constructed in the traditional style of the Miwok, who lived in this area before the Europeans introduced their style.

The Ansel Adams Gallery is a collection of photographs taken by Ansel Adams. Among his best-known works are his black-and-white photographs of Half Dome, Yosemite Valley and Jeffrey Pine. Many copies of famous photographs are for sale.

10. Try.

Yosemite National Park is one of the most famous climbing destinations in the United States. For many climbers, this is the highlight of their career. Walls like Half Dome and El Capitan have attracted climbers for decades.

Camp 4 is where most climbers have camped since the 1950s. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of its importance to mountaineering.

You won’t climb Half Dome or El Capitan if you’re a beginner, but there are places in the park where you can climb easier walls and learn. Maybe one day you will climb huge walls in your peripheral vision.

The Top 10 RV Parks in Yosemite National Park

If you enjoy traveling by RV, you’ve probably been thinking about a trip to Yosemite National Park for a long time. You don’t have to convince many people to go there. Instead, you have to take a very short walk to the campsite and sleep in your tent. When you register, you will receive a free parking permit to park your recreational vehicle. This way you have a more authentic camping experience than when sleeping in a van.

Each campsite is equipped with a fireplace, picnic table and four common food storage lockers. On site there is a bathroom with drinking water and flush toilets. There is a maximum of 30 nights camping here.

4. Northern Pines Campground

Northern Pines Campground is located in Yosemite National Park at an elevation of 4,000 feet. Staying here, you’ll have views of the park’s breathtaking natural wonders.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona Has 1 Loud Problem

I recently had the privilege of testing the Hyundai Kona 2021. All in all, I can totally see the appeal of Kona. However, I have noticed that there is a big problem.

When we buy a new car, we naturally want to know the pros and cons. A perfect advertising campaign with images is not enough. That’s why we do extensive research and test models until we find the most suitable.

Is the 2021 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes, I would say the 2021 Hyundai Kona is a good car. U.S. News & World Report even placed it first in its subcompact SUV category. With a price range of just over $20,000, the Kona is also affordable for most. All top models are equipped with a 1.6 litre turbo engine.

LIABLE : The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB250 is a truly affordable Mercedes SUV.

The vehicle I tested for a week was a 2021 Hyundai Kona Limited AWD. Having participated in it, I can hardly say anything negative about it. It’s hard to find this much quality, performance and reliability at this price, all packed into a sub-compact package.

I recommend the 2021 Hyundai Kona to anyone who wants the benefits of an SUV without having to pay the size and price of a Hyundai Santa Fe or Toyota RAV4. The whole package is fun to drive, and I imagine you can live with it in the long run. It also has good reliability ratings from publications like J.D. Power.

Serious Problem

I had no problems logging in and learning the infotainment system. The controls are simple and fairly intuitive. However, when I tested the Hyundai Kona 2021 without music on some country roads, I noticed very loud driving noises. The high-end audio system is very well designed and easy to operate.

Pipe noise is significantly reduced on oil spill surfaces. But we don’t live in a perfect world with perfect infrastructure. Unfortunately, if the road surface is not very smooth, the cab is not very quiet either.

TheKona 2021 is still a goodsubcompact SUV.

While the interior isn’t as luxurious as the Hyundai Sonata’s flagship sedan, it’s still a nice package. The 2021 Hyundai Kona is a great way to move people and stuff – as long as you don’t have too much equipment and the people aren’t all 6 feet tall.

Hydrogen Power/1000-Mile Range Smokes Tesla Cybertruck-Maybe?

Are hydrogen cars really stupid? Elon Musk says the same thing about them. Especially since James Glickenhaus challenged Tesla to compete in the Baja 1000. Glickenhaus already has a Baja 1000 victory to his name with the Baja Boot, a modern version of the original Baja Boot. This bot was piloted by Steve McQueen in 1968. If nothing else, Glickenhaus has a head start on Tesla by winning the Baja 1000 race.

So Glickenhaus builds a hydrogen-powered van to see how confident Musk is. On social media, Glickenhouse has already revealed quite a bit about what he has in mind. According to Glickenhaus, the hydrogen boat will have a very good range of 1,000 miles. He also says it takes five minutes to refuel. Musk accepted the challenge. While it looks like a shoot for a boat, there are inherent problems with what Glickenhaus has in mind.

The hydrogen charge will be an improvement on the current charge in many ways. The first boat at Glickenhaus had a 6.2-liter, 650-hp LT4 V8. This new bot, called SCG 010 Zero, will have a longer wheelbase and will be powered by hydrogen. Better to cross canyons and tracks.

This hydrogen-powered animal will weigh 12,000 kg gross.

People put a lot of weight on you to create stress and tension as you’re hurtled through desert country.

The plan is to have this hydrogen monster ready for Baja 2023. Glickenhaus says he doesn’t have to stop to refuel because he has a range of more than 1,000 miles. Musk says he’s up for the challenge. Despite the cyber truck’s 500-mile range, it doesn’t have to lug 12,000 pounds behind it. Will the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV Be a Real Mustang Mach-E Rival?

Like all GM, Chevy is striving to become all-electric. This means, as Ford did with the Mustang Mach-E, entering the SUV/crossover market. So, in addition to the Bolt update for 2022, Chevrolet is also launching the Bolt EUV. But does he have what it takes to take on Mustang McE?

Despite its appearance, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV 20222 is not a.

A silver Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 | Chevrolet

Technically, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 is a crossover, not an SUV. And even Chevy’s own literature describes it as an off-roader. If you want an electric SUV from Chevrolet, the Bolt EUV is your best bet, at least for now. But that doesn’t make it a consolation prize.

Although it shares a common name and platform with the Chevrolet Bolt 2022, the Bolt EUV does not have a single body, reports MotorTrend. The EUV is also larger, longer and wider than the Bolt, reports Car and Driver. And the reason the tailgate has more cargo space is because the Bolt EUV has more legroom in the back, reports Autoblog.

Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 | Chevrolet

Chevrolet is working on the new Ultium battery technology, but the Bolt 2022 and Bolt EUV won’t use it, MT reports. Instead, both electric cars are equipped with a 65 kWh battery connected to a single front-mounted electric motor, reports Autoweek. However, the Bolt EUV allows for fast DC charging and comes standard with a two-phase charging cable that allows for 120V and 240V charging.

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is as powerful as the sedan, 200 hp and 266 lb-ft, but only 250 miles instead of 259, reports Hagerty. The reduction in range comes at the cost of the EUV’s higher unladen weight, reports The Drive. But like the hatchback, the EUV has a dedicated single-pedal driving mode with maximum recuperation.

The Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 before | Chevrolet

While the Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 doesn’t have new battery technology, it does have new ADAS features. It’s the first Chevrolet to get GM’s Super Cruise suite, reports the Roadshow, though it’s optional. Lane Departure Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking and Frontal Collision Warning with Pedestrian Detection are standard on the Motor1. And while the wireless charging station is optional on the Chevrolet Bolt 2022, it’s standard on the EUV.

Prices and Availability

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV starts at $33,995, $2,000 more than the 2022 hatchback. In addition to the features already mentioned, the Bolt EUV comes standard with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, a 10.2-inch central touchscreen, and an 8-inch digital calibration cluster. If you qualify, Chevrolet will also cover the cost of installing a Tier 2 charger in your home.

ACCEPTED : The 2020 Chevy Bolt is safe enough for an electric car.

In addition, Chevrolet will also offer an entry-level version of the Bolt EUV for $43,495 when it hits the market in the summer of 2021. Super Cruise is a standard system with a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and cross-traffic alert. Add to that a lighted cargo door, unique wheels, and a sunroof.

How does the Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 compare to the Ford Mustang Mach-E 2021 in terms of features and price?

There are some notable differences between the Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2022 and the Ford Mustang Mach-E 2021.

LIABLE : Tesla’s Y 2021 model just got a high price.

First, the Mach-E is equipped with all-wheel drive on both engines, which is not optional on the Bolt EUV. Second, even as a single-engine vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E is a RWD crossover, while the Bolt EUV is FWD. And even in its base model, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is more powerful than the Chevrolet Bolt EUV. The Mustang Mach-E’s base engine makes 266 hp and 317 lb-ft with 68 kWh as standard.

Despite the larger battery, however, the Mach-E has a shorter range. The EPA estimates it can go 230 miles for an additional cost, reports Car and Driver. According to the trip report, only the extended stretch of California Highway 1 has an estimated range of 300 miles. But getting that reach will cost you money.

Speaking of cost: This is another area where the 2022 Volt EUV beats the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Mach-E’s cheapest trim level starts at $42,895, before tax credits. And California’s Highway 1 starts at $49,800 before taxes.

To be fair, the Mach-E base has standard WiFi – an option on the Bolt EUV – as well as a 10.2-inch digital display and a 15.5-inch touchscreen. But even though Ford offers the Mustang Mach-E with the enhanced CoPilot Assist360 ADAS package, Consumer Reports showed that it’s generally inferior to Super Cruise.

LIABLE : The 2020 Chevy Bolt is the most affordable way to get into a brand new EV.

So the choice between the two will come down to whether the higher price of the Mach-E justifies the driving experience. That means we’ll have to wait until the Volt EUV is in the dealers. But until then, it looks like he’s a good opponent for McE.

Dodge Viper Prices are Dropping But the Car is Still Deadly

The Dodge Viper is one of America’s most iconic supercars. That’s all the market expects from a national supercar: an unpleasant car with unpleasant performance. Under the hood of our Viper is one of the biggest engines I’ve ever seen in a car, an 8.3-liter V10 (although this size may vary slightly from version to version). In the hands of an inexperienced driver, or even an experienced driver in poor road conditions, the Dodge Viper can be deadly.

automobile nickname widow

For decades, the Dodge Viper has been nicknamed Widow Widow, and I can’t argue with that. Cars are as dangerous to drive as they are to beat, but in the hands of the right driver they can be incredible machines, ready to race. There was a time when you could pay a premium price for a new Dodge Viper, and since it’s no longer on the market, it seems to have retained a fair amount of its value, which varies depending on the year of manufacture and trim level.

Fortunately for car enthusiasts, prices for some older generations have dropped to more affordable used car prices, and you can sometimes find them between $35,000 and $65,000 – but certainly not for cars in excellent condition, with low mileage, or certain trim levels.

Experienced Driver Vehicle

The aggressive styling of the Dodge Viper reflects the car’s aggressive driving characteristics. It offers performance and handling that make it a true driver’s car, and it’s hard to find something that makes you feel so comfortable on the road – or on the track. But unlike today’s sports cars, the first generations of the Dodge Viper didn’t have the safety features we take for granted today, like traction control. As a car with plenty of front-wheel and rear-wheel drive, less than ideal driving conditions can be frightening and dangerous for drivers of all experience levels.

Unfortunately, the Dodge Viper has been taken out of production for the second time in the car’s history, which likely means that its price will rise again over time, as they become harder and harder to find, and unfortunately, as more get crashed and totaled. The Viper is a real machine, and unlike most vehicles that can be driven with a little basic knowledge required to drive an average passenger car, the Viper requires finesse and in some cases quick thinking.

Stellantis Disbands SRT Team – Are Performance and Hellcat Models Dead?

Stellantis and its CEO Carlos Tavares have undertaken a major restructuring of the various brands. A new report reveals that the famed SRT team that developed the ultra-resistant Hellcat models has been disbanded.

But before we plunge into the land of doom, there is hope that these powerful machines will continue to exist in the future. According to insiders at Mopar, the team responsible for building these performance models will be integrated into a broader global development organization.

What does TRS Command do?

A 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR | Dodge

Team SRT, or Street and Racing Technology, dates back to 1989. According to Mopar insiders, the team was originally called Team Viper because it had the noble task of bringing a front-engined V10 sports car to market. In addition, Mopar Insiders reports that the team has also upgraded the Plymouth Prowler.

In 2004, the team was given its current name, SRT, which is why we still see the badge on all new Dodge, Jeep and Ram products. However, Mopar Insider reports that these performance models have become a luxury brand in their own right in 2012. The first car from this new brand would have been the 2013 Viper SRT. After some wanderings, the brand was finally purchased by Dodge in 2014.

SRT is busy these days, putting the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat engine in almost everything, including huge SUVs. But that may soon change with restructuring and pressure to electrify certain models.

Why did Stellantis pull the plug?

LIABLE : The world’s most powerful Cadillac is still slower than the evil Charger Dodge 2021.

While it may sound a little ominous to hear that such a great team has disbanded, the members of this team aren’t going anywhere. According to insiders at Mopar, the dissolution of the SRT team means that these engineers will now work on other projects under other brands of Stellantis. This could soon lead to more tangible, performance-based benefits for everyday vehicles not equipped with a control system.

For now, though, it looks like Stellantis hasn’t put an end to these Hellcat games and models. This is mainly because these TRS models sell very well. Take Durango, for example. According to Mopar Insiders, the company therefore plans to continue offering these products under the current SRT brand.

Unfortunately, this announcement from Stellantis is not quite the big relief that fans expected. A few weeks ago, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis announced that the days of the Hellcat V8 are numbered. The CEO stated that the future of the brand is likely to depend on performance EVs.

Are the Hellcat’s performance and models at risk?

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon | FCA

At this stage, it seems that the SRT and Hellcat models hold promise for the future. But that doesn’t mean they won’t change massively to stay relevant. In the same interview, Kuniskis also explained that electric and hybrid cars have great performance potential. Given the number of fast Tesla models we’ve seen, there’s certainly an argument to be made for the Hellcat EV.

On the other hand, it means that these tough cars and powerful SUVs will continue to run and will only get faster over time. Fortunately, it seems that this restructuring of TRS is not yet complete, at least not yet.

SRT calls the Hellcat Redeye the most powerful and fastest production sedan in the world, thanks to a supercharged Hemi V8 engine with 797 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque. The top speed would be 203 mph, and SRT recorded a 10.6-second quarter that ended at 129 mph.

AreSRT and Hellcat the same thing?

SRT®? The biggest difference is in the performance. The R/T is powered by a 375-hp 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine, while the Hellcat SRT® is powered by a 6.2-liter HEMI® SRT® V8 supercharged engine.

Daytona 500 Crashes Lead to Millions of Dollars in Damages

If you followed the Daytona 500 last weekend, you know that this NASCAR race was full of crashes. A particularly unfortunate accident at the end of the race even robbed the leader of victory. But have you ever wondered how much a NASCAR car wreck costs?

USA Today’s report shows us exactly how one of these piles of waste can easily turn into millions of dollars of loss. In addition to luxury cars, modern technological advances in safety make these drivers safer than ever.

How many NASCAR crashes have we seen in the Daytona 500?

NASCAR Crash | David Rosenbloom/Sportswire Icon via Getty Images

It didn’t take long for a serious chain collision to occur during the NASCAR Daytona 500 race. Yahoo reports that it only took 15 bullets before the metal parts started flying. According to Yahoo, the first major accident was caused when driver Christopher Bell pushed Aric Almirola. This caused a chain reaction that soon affected a total of 16 vehicles, some of which were heavily damaged.

While this first accident certainly caught our attention, the last major accident changed the outcome of the Dayton 500. As the NASCAR race drew to a close, OregonLive reports, the crash began as Brad Keselowski tried to retake the lead over Joey Logano. Unfortunately, the first two cars had an accident. The car finished in third place and took the victory. Unfortunately, it also caused a chain reaction that led to a serious car accident.

In a split second, however, these teams lost millions of dollars due to small mistakes that led to massive chain reactions.

For this reason, teams can lose millions of dollars.

ACCEPTED : Driving a NASCAR race car every day would be an absolute nightmare.

As you can imagine, NASCAR’s accident cost calculation starts with the price of the vehicle. According to USA Today, each of these cars could cost teams up to $500,000. Much of that price, however, is for the engines, which Sportex says can cost up to $150,000 alone. The result: When those big stacks appear, so do the repair bills.

In the event of a total loss, it can cost teams $500,000 to replace the car. However, according to USA Today, cars can be repaired in most cases, with the repair often costing around $250,000. In doing so, the vehicle’s engine, one of the most expensive parts, need not be damaged. Incidents involving more than 15 cars involve millions of dollars lost in a split second.

Are drivers safe?

Fortunately, NASCAR has improved security considerably over the past few decades. According to Empire Sports Media, these improvements include stiffening the entire car and installing driver-side roll bars. This has the advantage that the car no longer crashes in mass accidents.

Drivers must also wear special fire suits and a HANS device that prevents serious whiplash injuries. A laminated car window is also useful. According to CNN, crew members can disassemble it and quickly reach the operator who needs it. Ultimately, the main reason is that while these accidents can be costly and intense, at least drivers are more likely than ever to come out of them unscathed.

With a Few Tweaks, the VR6 Is a More Reliable Volkswagen Engine

Reliability and durability are linked, but not in the same way as maintenance. Because if you constantly have to replace parts of your engine to keep it running, it’s not a reliable engine. But sometimes robust power plants just need a few tweaks or upgrades to make their lives easier. Like Volkswagen’s VR6 engine.

VR6 – Special engine for Volkswagenfans.

Although it was replaced by lighter, smaller and more efficient turbocharged engines, Volkswagen’s VR6 was a pretty revolutionary engine, reports Road & Track. Like the V6, it has two rows of three cylinders, DriveTribe explains. But unlike a conventional V6, Volkswagen’s VR6 has only one cylinder head.

This allowed Volkswagen to integrate the V6 into cars that could only be equipped with four-cylinder engines, R&T explains. Not only did it fit in the small engine compartment, it also didn’t affect the weight distribution as much as a normal V6. This gives you more power without sacrificing controllability.

The 2004 Volkswagen Golf R32 3.2-liter VR6 engine | Volkswagen

The first 2.8-liter VR6 engine appeared in the modern 1992 Volkswagen Corrado and Passat, according to Drifted reports. It was then introduced in vehicles such as the Jetta, Mk4 Golf GTI, Phaeton and even the Touareg and Atlas. But perhaps the most iconic version is the 2004 and 2008 Golf R32. These AWD hot hatches are powered by 3.2-liter VR6 engines, with 240 hp on the 2004 car and 250 hp on the 2008 car. And a note from the engine, which Car describes as a soft, bubbling army.

But Volkswagen didn’t just use the VR6 in Volkswagen-inspired cars. The engine eventually found its way into the Porsche Cayenne, as well as the Audi TT, A3 and Q7, according to reports from EnginesWork. And the VR6 forms the basis of the W12 engine in the Bentley Continental GT, according to R&T. Even the engine in the Bugatti W16 uses RV technology, reports DriveTribe.

Even though the Volkswagen VR6 is no longer state-of-the-art, it can be a reliable engine, VW Tuning reports. However, it is not without its drawbacks.

The usual complaint is about the ignition system. Early VR6 models have ignition coils, while newer models use ignition coils, according to VW Tuning reports. And judging by the numerous forum threads in places like VW Vortex and r/Volkswagen, the VR6 seems prone to coil and coil block failures. Engines Work and VW, support for these claims.

The NHTSA also received a complaint from an owner of a 2004 R32 who claims that the ignition coil in his vehicle caught fire while driving in the fast lane. Although it is interesting to note that the R32 has coils, and not a coil block.

ACCEPTED : What is the best year for a Volkswagen GTI?

The Volkswagen VR6 also has some heat-related problems. The engine’s water pump has several plastic parts that degrade and break over time, VW Tuning reports. The plastic cooling pipe is also notorious for being popularly known as a crack pipe, reports EuroWise. This may be partly due to the narrow engine compartment, Griffins Autoherstel suspects. In addition, if the engine overheats, the cylinder head gasket can fail, another age-old problem with the VR6, reports DustRunners Auto. There may also be a hot stand.

The Volkswagen VR6 also has some issues with the belt tensioner and serpentine timing chain, Drifted ratio and VW Tuning. But it’s not so much an inconvenience and more a matter of age. Although timing chains generally last longer than belts, they may need to be replaced. The situation is similar with the serpentine belt and tensioner.

Fortunately, most of these problems can be solved today.

The good news is that none of these problems have to be a disruptive factor. In the case of the chain and belt of the Volkswagen VR6, these are wear parts in many engines. Just follow the maintenance schedule and keep an eye on the engine.

ACCEPTED : Is there a cheap and reliable used Bentley?

As for the crack pipe and water pump, websites like Gruven Parts offer replacement metal versions of these parts. And it should be noted that the radiators and various hoses will eventually need to be replaced.

As for the ignition coils and ignition cables, Volkswagen has issued a recall for the 2.8-liter VR6, according to the Department of Consumer Affairs. As with the other engines, NHTSA has investigated the problem but has not yet issued a recall, VW Problems reports. Since then, however, Volkswagen has repeatedly examined the ignition coils, the NHTSA tuning ratio, and the ECS. Several users on the VW Vortex forum say that these new parts are not as good as the previous ones.

Finally, the hot stop problem was solved with the help of Volkswagen’s TSB. All it takes is an ECU reflux to update the software, an NHTSA report and a VW tuning report.

Bass fishing is the highlight of a hot summer day on the water. During the summer months, almost everything in the fish box works. Worms and minnows with a cork, smelt or from the bottom are a relaxed way to lure bass. Spider plugs, spoons and jigs work well both in the morning and in the evening.

autumn

Fishing in cool fall waters is similar to fishing in spring, but without the spawning. Live bait works well because these fish understand that their world slows down as winter approaches and often feed at the end of the season. Live bait and lead head jigs work best in the fall.

Best natural bait for sea bass

Worms and nocturnal plants

Worms are one of the best aces you can use for the bar. The bass can’t resist a good worm on the hook. Perch seek structure, spawn in submerged trees and hunt in the same areas. You can bring in a sinker and hook 6 with a few worms and throw it to the bottom, but this is not the most effective way to catch the bar of worms. Perch are not afraid of the line and will hit a worm hanging under the catch at almost any time of the day or night.

Insert the worm enough to cover the hook. The curl is about 18 inches above the hook and two to four feet below the beaver. Place your platform near the edge of the underwater structure and wait. The bass doesn’t hit hard, but he hits hard. Once they catch the bait, they swim away at an angle to the suspension line. If the beaver is submerged, place the line in the opposite direction from where the beaver was submerged.

Washers

The 2-inch minnow is a filet mignon for hungry bass. The way this brilliance is presented makes a big difference in attracting and capturing it.  Many anglers say the best bait for bass is herring. Take a number 2 or 4 hook, pierce the lower lip of the minnow and fish with a cork like worm.  The device does all the work. When the bobber is under water, set the hook.

Tadpole

Many bass anglers prefer lures to minnows. Although herring are popular with top bass anglers, anglers looking for larger, trophy-sized bass swear by the big heads.  Thick-headed minnows are larger minnows, most of which are about three inches long. Because they are larger and more viable, you can catch them using methods other than the hook and bobber.

Take a number 2 hook and insert it into the baby’s lower lip. A blasting machine can be used for bottom fishing, beaver fishing, and a blasting machine can be used for mussel areas. The shooting technique allows you to cover a larger area than the traditional style of bottom or float fishing.

Silkworm

Perch can be caught at any time of the year, but it is one of the best fish to catch on the ice. Ice fishing is the perfect place to use wax worms. These small, sturdy worms move slowly in cold water when hooked on a small number of hooks of 8 or 10.  Their slower movement corresponds to the slowness with which sea bass move in cold winter waters. Hang a wax worm, roll up the weight and throw the rope through a hole in the ice. Set the depth according to your preference and put the point on it. Sit down, try not to stiffen up and wait for the flag to go down.

Eyes, gills and parts of fish

The bass touches everything organic in the water. The meat of crayfish is a popular bait, as are eyes, gills and pieces of meat sucked from fish. You should always check local regulations for this type of bait as legality varies. Hook the bait with a number 6 hook and set the rod as you would when beaver fishing or bottom fishing with worms or shiners. The bass are attracted by the smell and will find such baits even in muddy water.

Best bait for rod

Here’s a general rule of thumb for artificial lures for bass: If he catches a trout, he catches a bass. The feeding habits of rainbow trout are similar to those of adult perch.

Cocktail

It was probably one of the first lures in your fishing box, and it’s still effective today for getting bass out of the open water. Hook the end of a four to six pound monofilament yarn to a spinning or spin stick. I threw as far as I could into the lake. After immersion in water, count to five and begin to recover the medium. The bass are small sharks that get close quickly. Try to focus on natural colors (gray, light, light blue) when the water is clear, and on gold, chartreuse and fire in murky water.

Swallow! Minnow

Black and silver swallow needles on lead jigs are one of the best lures to cast for many species of fish in a lake or large river.  Perch are attracted to Gulp Minnows, as are Walleyes and Trout. Any combination of cane and curl will work, but if you use braided wire, attach a fluorocarbon conductor to the end. One meter should be enough. Hang a plastic meat grinder, so hang it up, also with the black strip up. Underwater structure, wait five shots after hitting the water, then shake, two shakes, one shake…. on your count. The bass can’t resist the natural action of the minnow.

Rapala Shad Rap

Rapala is one of the best known brands on the bait market. Shad Rap goes even further. They resemble a small shad, which bass naturally feed on, and create a unique sound vibration in the water that attracts fish. Catch the lobe as a head shot, followed by a few rhythmic swings.

Marabout device

There is a place where flies and lures cross borders, this place belongs to Marabu’s Jig. It looks like a lead-headed jig that’s been kicking up too much dust in the fish box, but it’s effective at catching bass. One of the first lures used by anglers to catch bass and crab was simply a red wire on the hook. Marabout’s jig goes a little further with his head on the hook. Fish like you swallowed the head of the meat-wolf.

Small spoons

Who doesn’t like spoons? Fishermen do it too, and that’s a good thing. With spoons, you can vary the pleasures in all weathers. On a clear, sunny day, a silver or gold spoon, reeled in with a steady movement of the rod, can be used to target bass. In murky water or low light, a green, yellow or even red spoon, like the diamond five, will attract their attention.  The small spoons are the best for bass.

Blue Fox Online Spinner

The sound vibrations emitted by the blue fox attract fish. The fins are designed to create a vortex in the water that can emit a far and wide sound, attracting furry game with the idea that a wounded bait is nearby in the water. Using a casting or spinning rod, throw a number 3 or 4 blue fox as far as you can and bring it back to shore regularly, the bait will do all the work.

Best fly model for yellow perch

When you think of fly fishing, most people think of trout. This is a good thing when it comes to bass, as both species have similar eating habits. Similar but not identical flies that work for trout do not always attract bass. You can catch a few sizes with a small gnat on a No. 22 hook, or perhaps one that suits the current brood.  Perch prefer slightly more flies, flies that imitate the bait, rather than insect larvae.

A large fly on a number 4 hook, with long green and yellow streamers with a touch of red, is usually sufficient. Bass are the proverbial cannibals, and flies that match their color combination work well. Perch flies should be suspended as jigs to minimize tracks on weeds and other underwater structures. Slow reeling in shallow water is good for bass, as the bait often gathers there to escape predators.

If you are deep sea fishing, you want a fly that is not as buoyant. Diving into deep water is the key to catching bass. Sea bass do not chase bait like other sport fish, if they are close they strike, if they have to move too much they often pass. Fly fishing for bass is one of the least common ways to catch fish, but it can produce excellent results, especially if you tie your own flies and pay attention to color patterns.

Weighted fly fishing, like with a jig, can be a lot of fun. Hooks 1 to 4 are larger at first and imitate bass, walleye and immature minnows. Banners will work for rods grouped in a heavy structure up to 3 feet from the surface. By putting these banners through the structure, you attract fish. As a schooling fish, once you find the area, you can catch a sea bass on every cast.

If you want to catch and release, it is best to use barbless hooks. If you want to eat a bass, you need a barb for those tough fights. Advanced hooks are not necessary for bass, but hooks larger than you would use for walleye or trout are fine. A hook size 2 or larger is good for minnows, while a good old hook size 6 is often best for worms and nightcrawlers. Hooks with a long handle, specially designed for worms, hold the bait well and have a special curve that makes it easier to hook rods.

Best bait for creeks and rivers

For fishing in streams and rivers, a lead jig is unbeatable. The extra weight of the lead jig in combination with the natural movement of the Farmer Swallow allows you to work both with and against the current.

Perch are not as special as other fish. They don’t react to where the bait is coming from, they just hit whatever is closest to them. If you find a school of poles clinging to an underwater structure, you can work the area much more effectively with a heavy jig head than with any other lure or live bait.

Best baits for bass in deep and shallow water

Live bait works best in deep water. Perch is delicate, just like adult fish. Immature bass will swarm around your bait and tear up worms and minnows with equal abandon, larger bass will swallow the bait and then swim away. Deep sea fishing requires either bottom fishing or casting techniques to reach the big bass you are looking for.

Shallow water is a good place to try out fly fishing for bass. In shallow water, standing cattails or seagrass beds, you can strike to within a few inches of the surface. Spoons and baits used in shallow water can help you catch bass hiding in the shallows.

Best night bait for rod

On a dark night, live bait is the best option for bass fishing. If you are lucky on a full moon, on a clear night, you can be very successful with silver and gold spoons and spinning tops. The posts hit on what they see, or if they don’t see it, the smell. Night fishing, especially ice fishing at night, can yield huge catches when conditions are right.
