Smoke Pot? GM Might Hire You

If you’re a smoker and you want to work at General Motors, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of this company. If you’re a non-smoker who doesn’t mind working at a legendary auto maker, there’s also a good chance you’ve heard of this company. Both are called Caliber Staffing Group, and they’re both as different as night and day.

If you like marijuana enough to smoke it, there are probably a few things you don’t like about GM (saying the company is a pet peeve of yours), but would you work for them?

If you have ever wanted to work for General Motors, you might be pretty excited with the announcement this morning that the automaker is looking for applicants to join its staff. According to the Detroit News, the automaker plans to add 600 new jobs to its Detroit-Hamtramck headquarters over the next three years. The positions will pay as much as $125,000 a year, which means that GM is looking for candidates that will be able to help guide the automaker toward a sustainable future.

Yes, GM may employ you if you use marijuana, but not because of it. GM is now in urgent need of fresh employees to fill in for assembly line workers who are enjoying summer holidays. It makes pickup trucks in its assembly facilities in Flint, Michigan, and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Flint needs 450 temporary employees, while Fort Wayne requires 275.

It does not, however, employ marijuana users. Potential employees are subjected to a drug test to see whether they have ever used marijuana. Your application is placed in the circular file if you test positive. However, according to the Detroit Free Press, changes may be on the way.

Eric Welter and Rich LeTourneau, UAW shop chairmen, told the Freep that GM’s marijuana policy is forcing it to lose out on recruiting chances. It’s possible that it’s time to reconsider the concept. Particularly now that marijuana is legal in Michigan.

Possession of marijuana in Indiana carries a sentence to prison.

Indiana, on the other hand, is a different story. Possession of any quantity of marijuana is punishable by imprisonment. So, although a policy reform in Flint may make sense, it’s a different thing in Fort Wayne. When asked about the policy change, GM spokeswoman Dan Flores merely said the matter had been “addressed internally.”

Over 5,100 GM hourly employees are members of the Flint UAW Local 598. Despite low turnover, the Silverado and Sierra factory need approximately 100 temporary employees each week. However, finding qualified candidates is becoming more difficult. It’s a miracle that 20-25 people can fill those 100 positions.

Hair samples are used by GM to track out marijuana. It may take weeks for symptoms to appear after smoking marijuana. It deters individuals, particularly younger people, from applying for employment at the factory, according to Welter. There are, however, additional deterrents.

The $16.67 beginning salary at GM may possibly be a factor in the low number of applications.

The $16.67 beginning hourly wage is just marginally more than McDonald’s. Applicants must also be willing to work a range of shifts. Furthermore, after the summer, there is no assurance of full-time work.

Unfortunately, GM is dealing with additional issues that are delaying manufacturing of pickup trucks. Problems with component suppliers, as well as the semiconductor chip scarcity, are wreaking havoc. Due to a shortage of chips, GM is already phasing out cylinder deactivation fuel management.

What’s going on at Ford?

Ford has holding lots full of completed 2021 Ford F-150 pickups waiting for chips to finish the otherwise finished vehicles across town in Dearborn. Most automobile manufacturers across the globe are dealing with this issue. However, the lack of accessible assistance exacerbates the difficulties that all producers face.

If you live in or around Flint or Fort Wayne, you may recall a period when hourly earnings at GM factories were extremely appealing. However, with the implementation of two-tiered salaries, new employees are no longer lured by higher-than-average pay.

Leaked 2022 Kia Telluride Photos Show New Logo, Specs

Kia has been teasing us with leaked photos of what could be its first SUV since the K5 was discontinued. In the leaked photos, Kia’s signature “K” logo isn’t present, but instead a new design which shows the company is finally jumping into the SUV market. What’s also interesting is that the leaked photos show a Kia Telluride with what appears to be the final electric powertrain details.

The company has already admitted that it’s working on a new SUV, but we’re starting to see more and more hints about it, and this batch of photos is the most compelling yet. They show a design that looks fairly close to what we’ve seen in spy shots of the vehicle, and it even includes a logo that looks remarkably similar to the one that was leaked in 2018.

Pictures of a yet unreleased Kia Telluride have been making the rounds. The car’s identity has not been revealed, but it does appear to have a different look and feel than current Kia models. It’s obvious the Telluride was designed on a different platform than the Kia Telluride concept car that debuted at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show, but we still can’t figure out what it will be or when it will go on sale.. Read more about kia telluride 2022 colors and let us know what you think.

Kia is having a great year! The pictures of the new Kia Telluride for 2022 have leaked, and they reveal a sleek yet classic SUV. It’s no wonder that the Telluride made such an impact in 2020, therefore the brand stayed with what drivers already know and love. Check out some of the pictures and unconfirmed information below.

Is the Kia Telluride a good buy?

The Kia Telluride for 2022 | Korean Car Blog

The Korean Car Blog was the first to report on the 2022 Kia Telluride’s leaked photos. The pictures aren’t of great quality, but they’re the first we’ve seen of the redesigned SUV. The new Kia badging, which will appear on all future Kia cars, is one of the most significant changes. It does, however, fit in with Kia’s design from the previous year or so.

Because the 2021 Kia Telluride was such a success, it’s understandable that there wasn’t much to alter for the 2022 model. The Nightfall trim includes a revised logo and wheel caps, according to the source.

The front grille on the LX model is glossy black with chrome accents. The front grille on the S, EX, and SX trims is gloss black with glossy chrome trim. A 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor touch screen with a three-way split-screen functionality is also standard on all three trims. In addition to navigation, this is now standard on the S, EX, and SX.

Dual-zone automated temperature control and dual-zone automatic temperature control are available in the big SUVs. Finally, all Telluride grades come standard with navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve (NSCC-C) and Highway Driving Assist (HDA). Wireless phone charging is also included with the S.

Will the Kia Telluride’s value hold up?

The Kia Telluride is returning for 2022 – The Korean Car Blog

The MSRP for the 2021 Kia Telluride is $32,190. However, based on the vehicle’s performance and improvements planned for 2022, we may expect a price rise soon. The Telluride seats seven or eight people (depending on the arrangement) and is equipped with many safety features, making it an excellent choice for families. In fact, this is one of the most difficult SUVs to locate presently on the market.

According to Kelley Blue Book, the Telluride gets a 4.8 out of five star expert rating. It’s a Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award winner and a “great bargain,” according to Kelley Blue Book. One of the few drawbacks is the lack of a hybrid version. While it does not seem to be in the cards for 2022, it is a distinct possibility.

The Kia Telluride seems to have a strong hold on its value, particularly given the scarcity of these cars.

Looking forward to 2022

Because there haven’t been many complaints, Kelley Blue Book predicts that the 2022 model will use the same engine as the 2021 model. The 3.8L V6 engine is capable, but it isn’t the most fuel-efficient on the market. That is, however, to be anticipated from such a large SUV. Furthermore, the lack of fuel efficiency is exacerbated with the all-wheel-drive option, according to KBB.

Kia’s warranty is one of the additional advantages. Kia offers an industry-leading guarantee that includes bumper-to-bumper coverage for ten years and one million miles. In addition, certain cars are covered by a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Given that the Telluride’s debut year was just 2020, there’s a high possibility that a secondhand Telluride still has some warranty remaining.

While we wait for the official introduction of the 2022 Kia Telluride, these leaked images should let buyers relax for the time being.

Kia has made no secret of its plans to make the Telluride one of its group’s flagship models. The automaker unveiled the concept vehicle in early 2017, and in early 2018, it showcased the vehicle at the New York Auto Show. Although the automaker has not yet announced a production date for the concept, it has already planned a new model called Telluride, which will go on sale in 2022.. High Temps? No Problem with KUIU’s Gila Line of Hot-Weather Hunting Clothes

KUIU is a well-known outdoor clothing company that has been making cotton products for the Outdoors for over 30 years. Recently, they’ve expanded into providing its customers with an entire line of high-tech hunting clothing. But don’t let that fool you: The Gila line is made from the same kind of cotton but with special features that make it perfect for extreme weather conditions.

You may not have heard of KUIU, but you’ve seen their gear. On the range, in the field, in the woods, and on the trail, KUIU’s line of hunting clothing provides unmatched performance and protection.

The Gila is a new line of hunting clothes from KEEN that lets you get the job done in hot weather. That’s thanks to KEEN’s Triple-Dry fabric, which was developed with the help of top outdoorsmen. This lightweight fabric—which can last up to 10 times longer than standard fabrics in both a wet and dry state—provides full-coverage protection, while the Gila’s heat-activated ProCool fabric wicks away sweat to keep you cool and dry.

Estrada, Jordan 06.15.21

You’ll likely encounter scorching weather conditions during early archery season in September, or late season and Spring Gobbler season on the opposite side of winter, no matter what state you hunt in. I’m not sure whether it’s because of global warming or anything else, but I’ve personally seen 80-90 degree days during both the early autumn and late spring hunting seasons in the last year – yet I live in New Hampshire, where colder temperatures are anticipated.

Two questions arise as a result of this: First and foremost, are you truly hunting until your toes are frozen to the treestand deck? Isn’t it an important aspect of the game? Second, what should you do if all of your camo layers are thermal and the temperature in the woods is expected to be in the 70s, 80s, or 90s?

To address at least one of these concerns, KUIU has released the Gila line, a collection of camouflage and neutral-tone shirts and bottoms intended for hunts when sunburn is a greater worry than frostbite.

Hot Weather HuntingKuiu.com is the source of this image.

Pants, shorts, shirts in a variety of designs, and a neck gaiter are all part of the Gila range, which contains the following features:

  • Comfort and fit are prioritized in this collection of polyester, wool, nylon, and spandex mixes.
  • Sun protection of UPF 50+
  • Wicking and quick-drying
  • Treatment for odors

nullThe Hoodie with Long Sleeves. Kuiu.com is the source of this image.

You may look at the whole collection here.

KUIU clothes are very light, as you can see from the weight specs at the link above, making them an excellent choice for hikers.

Tick protection is another benefit of these light-weight, long-sleeve shirts and trousers. Permethrin-treated clothing is one of the most efficient methods to keep ticks at bay. Short sleeves, obviously, provide less protection. The Gila line provides arm and leg protection without compromising comfort.

Whether you think that global warming will soon convert North American woodlands into steamy rain forests, or you just want to be comfortable when hunting in the temperate early and late seasons, the KUIU Gila line is worth investigating.

When heat and humidity combined with the burden of a full pack create an extremely uncomfortable trip, you need clothing that keeps you cool and dry in the heat. You need clothing that is breathable and lightweight, and you need clothing that can handle a temperature that will make you sweat like a pig. With the Gila line of hunting clothing from KUIU, you can face the heat with confidence.. Read more about kuiu for sale and let us know what you think.

Ultra Rare Ferrari J50 Is One of Ten

This may be the most rare Ferrari you have ever seen. This is a J50 sports car made in 2000, which was built in a limited number of units. Combining Ferrari’s fabled V12 engine with their iconic styling, the J50 is a beautiful and powerful car. The J50 is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine producing 584 hp. The vehicle it was built to compete with was the Porsche 911 Turbo, and the J50 was seen, at the time, as a sort of Ferrari entry-level vehicle.

Ferrari J50 Replica. Ferrari J50 is one of the rarest Ferrari models ever made. Only 4 have ever been built of the 50 units originally ordered. Only 3 are known to exist today.

The LaFerrari Aperta is a concept car that never made it to production. It was an attempt to create a faster, more extreme version of the LaFerrari with a bodywork based on the classic Ferrari 250 GTO. The LaFerrari Aperta was never officially produced and is, therefore, one of the rarest cars on the planet. There are only ten of these cars in existence.

If you’re the kind of person who requires a one-of-a-kind, super-expensive sports automobile, this is the vehicle for you. This ultra-rare Ferrari J50 is for sale and is one of just 10 ever built. That’s fantastic news if you’re a multibillionaire looking for a collector’s piece that you’ll almost certainly never be allowed to drive in the US. However, if you’re simply a normal millionaire, you may be out of luck.

J50 Ferrari | Ferrari

The 2016 Ferrari J50 is currently for sale for $3.6 million, according to Road & Track. Ferrari made ten of these J50s as limited versions of the Ferrari 488 Spider. It was designed by the Ferrari Design in Maranello to commemorate Ferrari’s 50th anniversary in 2018.

What makes the Ferrari 488 and the Ferrari J50 so different?

The Ferrari J50 is a superior version of the 488, and it’s not simply because there are only 10 of them and they’re very costly. The horsepower and design are the most significant distinctions. The Ferrari 488 Spider has a power output of 670 horsepower, but these very limited Ferrari J50s have a power output of 690.

Both the Ferrari Spider 488 and the Jaguar J50 feature twin turbo V8 engines with a displacement of 3.9 liters. They both feature twin clutch gearboxes with seven speeds. The Ferrari J50 can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in under three seconds. Although it isn’t as quick as the Tesla Model S Plaid, there are more than 10 of them.

How does the Ferrari J50 appear?

Ferrari enabled these 10 ultra-rare J50s to be customized when they were built. The three-layer red body of the original two-seater Ferrari J50 on exhibit. The inside is made of leather and Alcantara. The body of the Ferrari on the market is black. The Ferrari J50 features a two-piece targa roof, unlike the Ferrari 488, which has a folding hard top.

These 10 Ferraris were built exclusively for Japanese customers who sought a “innovative, low-slung roadster,” according to Ferrari. It was intended to harken back to previous Ferraris like the GTO, F40, and F50.

I’m not sure where I can buy one.

Despite this, being in Japan poses the greatest challenge to anybody interested in buying this ultra-rare Ferrari. The one for sale (well, for sale if you bring your checkbook) is at a Ferrari dealership in Tokyo. They can’t be brought into the US unless they’re at least 25 years old or on the “Show or Display” list. The Ferrari J50, on the other hand, is none of these things.

Previous owners of this Ferrari J50 clearly regarded it as a collector’s item as well. The vehicle has just 430 miles on it. Its façade and interior have remained intact, or at least seem to be undamaged. That’s probably what you want if you’re a Ferrari collector.

Ferrari is paying maintenance expenses on your $3.6 million J50 until 2026, just in case there’s any hidden damage or an issue.

Even though you can’t import it to the United States, if you truly want this Ferrari J50 (and can buy it), you’ll probably be able to find a way to acquire it. And, if you chose to drive it, you’ll almost certainly never see another vehicle like it.

RECOMMENDED: This McLaren isn’t even close to being street legal.

The Ferrari J50 was a car built in 1958 that was one of only ten of its kind to be built. It, like its siblings, was built by Ferrari’s Scaglietti firm. As you would expect from a model made in such a small numbers, the J50 is an incredibly rare car, but thanks to an extremely wealthy owner, its price has skyrocketed.. The New STK100 – Rock Island Armory’s First Striker Fired 9mm Pistol

Rock Island Armory has been making 1911 pistols for over a century and is one of the best-known brands in the industry. They have been making 1911 pistols for over a century and are one of the best-known brands in the industry. And yet, the company is just now announcing their first striker fired (SF) pistol.

The new STK100 is Rock Island Armory’s first striker fired 9mm pistol, which means it is both true to the legacy of Ruger and the yet to be completed development of the new STK100.

Rock Island Armory was formed from the merger between the two largest .45 ACP pistol manufacturers in the US, and they continue to produce some of the highest quality .45 ACP handguns. The STK100 is one of the newest additions to RIA’s lineup, and it is the first RIA pistol to feature a striker-fired action. Right now, the STK100 is only available in 9mm, but RIA plans to offer the STK100 chambered in other popular pistol calibers in the future.

Cuenco, Luke 06.15.21

Rock Island Armory has finally released something that is sure to please more than just the 1911 crowd this time around. The new STK100 Striker Fired pistol is very similar to polymer wonder nines currently on the market but has the distinct difference of featuring an aluminum frame. RIA claims that the aluminum frame is just as light but provides shooters with less flex in the frame and therefore better accuracy downrange. The new STK100 is set to release Thursday, June 17th and there will be a special launch presentation by the CEO of Armscor where your questions can be answered in a live Q&A Session.

The New STK100 - Rock Island Armory's First Striker Fired 9mm Pistol

The Rock Island Armory STK100 is the company’s first striker-fired 9mm pistol.

Specifications for the STK100:

  • 9MM CALIBER
  • CAPABILITIES: 17
  • 4.5′′ BARREL
  • LENGTH IN TOTAL: 7.91′′
  • 1.25′′ OVERALL WIDTH
  • 5.16′′ OVERALL HEIGHT
  • APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 1.80 LBS
  • TENON CUT WITH RETAINING SCREW ON THE FRONT SIGHT
  • FIXED INTEGRATED ON OPTIC COVER PLATE REAR SIGHT
  • ALUMINUM GRIPS (INTEGRATED ON FRAME)
  • BLACK ANODIZED FINISH
  • SEMI-AUTOMATIC ACTION
  • 3-7 LBS TRIGGER PULL
  • PURPOSE: RECREATIONAL SHOOTING AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

The New STK100 - Rock Island Armory's First Striker Fired 9mm Pistol

So let’s have a look at this new handgun from top to bottom. We can immediately notice some significant advantages over a typical double-stack 9mm polymer-framed striker-fired handgun from the front. Lightning cuts and forward sliding serrations are also included on the STK100. While I am not a fan of forward sliding serrations, I can see how they may be useful for people with lesser hand strength who want to do press checks. Second, the bottom side has a Picatinny rail-equipped dust cover, which should be standard on all new production guns, in my view. Even if you don’t use it, having the choice is always great to have. The grip is constructed of aluminum, as indicated in the specs, and seems to be beautifully anodized to match the parkerized slide. The pistol has a beavertail extension and a slide that is pre-cut to accommodate a carry optic.

The New STK100 - Rock Island Armory's First Striker Fired 9mm Pistol

On Thursday, we should learn a lot more about the new handgun. I’d want to know what red dot optic the slide is cut for, as well as what a “3-7lb trigger pull” means. Is it possible that RIA included an adjustable trigger with their new pistol straight out of the box? The new handgun is expected to have an MSRP of $599, making it one of the most inexpensive Glock-pattern pistols on the market, but with a number of upgrades over the regular model.

With the exception of the STK-09, Rock Island Armory has made a name for itself as a firearms manufacturer that takes their time to develop good quality guns. The STK-09 is their first striker fired pistol, and it is unique in many ways. Not only is it striker fired, it uses two individual hammers to fire each round, and uses a short stroke gas piston system. The STK-09 is also designed to be extremely reliable, and to incorporate the best features from a wide variety of manufacturers. Since it was designed to be a CCW, it has a polymer frame and slide, adjustable front and rear sights, and a stainless steel barrel. It also has a accessory rail and a threaded barrel for sound suppressors. Read more about rock island stk 100 for sale and let us know what you think.

The Best New Pickup Trucks Under $40,000 According to TrueCar

If there’s one thing that you should keep in mind when searching for a new truck, it’s that you need to look at the whole picture. For those who are searching for new trucks, the first thing that they are going to consider is the price.

Today TrueCar.com has released their results from their survey that looked at current used trucks under $40,000. The based on the data from over 1,000 respondents, the best truck under $40,000 is the 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4×4. It has a 4.3L engine, which is a 6 cylinder engine, that has a base price of $37,000($37,000 base price). The least expensive truck in the study was the 2017 Ram 1500 4×4 with a $36,000 base price. The Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 with a $35,000 base price was the second least expensive truck. The most expensive truck in the study was the 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500

Another great year for pickups! When it comes to vehicles equipped with a bed, the truck is still king by a large margin. In fact, trucks account for almost half of the total number of new vehicles sold in the U.S. each year. The high percentage of truck sales combined with the fact that they are generally more affordable than cars further contributes to their popularity. One of the most popular models in the class? The Honda Ridgeline.. Read more about best trucks under $40k 2020 and let us know what you think.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed while shopping for a new pickup vehicle. There are a lot of choices in this category, and many of them will cost you a lot of money. The good news is that purchasing a new pickup truck does not need to be a stressful experience. It also doesn’t have to be excessively costly. TrueCar has included its choices for the best new pickup trucks under $40,000 on its website. Let’s have a look at what they are.

The Honda Ridgeline for 2021 is one of the finest new pickup trucks under $40,000 on the market.

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline was also named one of the finest new pickup trucks of the year by Consumer Reports. This year’s model received an overall score of 80 from the organization. It also received an 83 overall score in road testing, as well as a projected dependability rating of four out of five and a forecasted owner satisfaction rating of five out of five.

The 2017 Tacoma’s family-friendly and off-road trims, as well as its standard driver safety and infotainment systems, were commended by TrueCar. If you choose this new pickup truck, you’ll get a 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as safety technologies like a pre-collision system with pedestrian recognition, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and dynamic radar cruise control as standard features.

According to TrueCar, the 2021 Toyota Tacoma is no stranger to towing. In fact, the 2017 Toyota Tacoma can tow up to 6,800 pounds when fitted with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and the optional Tow Package. It can also carry a maximum payload of 1,440 pounds.

The Ram 1500 is a new pickup vehicle that costs less than $40,000 in 2021.

Let’s say the 2021 Honda Ridgeline and the 2021 Toyota Tacoma aren’t exactly what you’re looking for. Perhaps you’re looking for a new pickup truck that’s both cheap and comes with a roomy, lavishly appointed interior. If that’s the case, TrueCar recommends checking out the Ram 1500 for 2021.

While the 2021 Ram 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds, the inside of this year’s model is very impressive. According to TrueCar, the inside of this year’s Ram 1500 is so comfy that it’s the best choice for “families requiring a do-it-all vehicle and individuals who travel long distances.”

TrueCar isn’t the only one who thinks the Ram 1500’s interior is impressive. It was also a hit with Car and Driver. According to Car and Driver, the Ram 1500 is the finest new pickup truck in its category due to its comfortable ride and luxurious cabin. This year’s model “easily surpasses even the fanciest versions of the Chevy Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Ford F-150,” according to Car and Driver.

Ford F-150 2021 | Ford

The Ford F-150 in 2021 is one of the finest new pickup trucks under $40,000, right? Yes, you read it correctly. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, however. The Ford F-150, after all, is a sector classic and has been a best-seller for years.

But what is it about the 2021 Ford F-150 that has truck enthusiasts so enthralled? It boils down to a few factors, according to TrueCar. For starters, this year’s model is “both a tough work vehicle and a relaxing family cruiser.” It also has plenty of pulling capacity, with the ability to tow up to 14,000 pounds when properly outfitted.

Helinox Cot One Convertible - Editor's Pick

This is a sturdy, basic design that will keep you comfy for many years. The Helinox Cot One is a convertible cot with an aluminum frame and a broad frame that can fit most wide sleeping bags. The Helinox is very simple to set up since the handles generate tension when they are closed. All you have to do now is unfurl the cot and you’re ready to go.

Another distinguishing characteristic of the Helinox Cot One convertible is the word “convertible” in its name. With the purchase of a leg conversion kit, the cot may be changed from a low cot to a high cot, as seen in the image above. The cot is raised off the ground using this kit, making it simpler to get out of bed in the morning. For $299.95, you can get the Helinox Cot One Convertible.

The number of campers has increased.

According to current industry demographic surveys, there are approximately 77 million homes in the United States alone with at least one individual who campers on a semi-regular basis. In 2018, an average of 4 million individuals attempted camping for the first time, with those numbers increasing significantly over the previous two years. Why? Because going outdoors has been shown to be a wonderful method for individuals to get out of the home, which has just been shown to be a medical need. In 2018, the typical new camper spent about $200-$300 on camping gear, and those figures have been surpassed by the present period.

Even more remarkable is the number of individuals who continue to camp and participate in outdoor activities. New campers used to be shown on television as unhappy individuals who despised the outdoors, but Hollywood has reacted and is now portraying people enjoying the thrill and serenity of camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Camping outCamping is becoming more popular in North America as a way to go outside and appreciate nature.

Choosing the Best Sleeping Position

Tent campers have some unique difficulties when it comes to camping. You have a few basic options for how you want to spend the evening. You may sleep straight on the ground, which can be either pleasant or unpleasant, depending on your preferences and the kind of ground. A sleeping pad that goes between you and the ground may be used. This is popular because it acts as both an insulator and a comfort layer between you and the ground. Air mattresses are popular and may be very comfy if they are properly inflated. This was always a surprise to me. My air mattress, no matter how much I paid for it, never seemed to remain inflated all night. This is what attracted me to camp cots in the first place.

I’ve had a lot of experience with camp cots. Make sure the cot is long and broad enough for your requirements by measuring your measurements. You may also wish to check at the camp cots’ weight restrictions. I also learned the hard way that depending on how the cots are built, you must be careful how you sit on them when they are put up. When a friend sat on the end of the cot I was using, the frame bowed since it wasn’t intended to support that much weight. I’d also recommend having a barrier between the cot’s footings and the floor of your tent. I put thick cardboard squares in my tent to prevent the cot from tearing through the tent floor if anything strange happens, which always seems to happen while you’re camping. Have faith in me.

When camping, why would you choose a cot over an air mattress?

While air mattresses are excellent for a restful night’s sleep, they do have a few significant disadvantages. To begin with, they are prone to punctures, which may rapidly transform your comfy mattress into a worthless scrap of fabric and rubber until it can be fixed. Second, unlike a cot, which is typically positioned considerably higher off the ground, air mattresses are constantly on the ground, making even the thickest air mattresses difficult to get out of in the morning.

Are Cots Appropriate for Use During the Winter?

Both yes and no. In comparison to other sleeping choices, cots offer a lot of room beneath them. This implies that chilly air will be able to draft beneath your cot, typically via the mesh bottom, and reach you eventually. This is excellent for the hot summer months, and I myself like a refreshing wind at night to keep me cool, but unless blocked by a thick cover or sleeping pad, it won’t be ideal for the colder months of the year.

Will my cot harm my tent’s floor?

This is mainly determined by the kind of legs on your cot. Many newer modern cots have design features that will help mitigate any potential damage to your tent floor, and there are also many aftermarket or accessory feet that can be purchased to more efficiently distribute the weight of your cot so that it does not wear a hole in your tent floor as quickly.

Will Run Sub-8 Seconds in 1/4 Mile

In our family, my kids are constantly being chased by a pack of wild dogs.  Recently, one of my children was bitten by the dogs, and I was not happy.  I decided to go after the dogs myself, and I set out in my car to go after them.  I found the dogs, but I was not prepared for them.  I quickly found my self surrounded by the pack of dogs.  None of them were friendly, and none of them were scared of me.  They were all just staring at me with hunger in their eyes because I was their prey.  My family and I had to get out of there, or we would have been ripped apart.  With

There’s no doubt that the fastest man on earth is Usain Bolt. He’s run the fastest 100 meters in the World Championships three times. The fastest man on earth is also the shortest man on earth.  The fastest man on earth is also the shortest man on earth.  Yup, the fastest man on earth is also the shortest man on earth.  And Usain Bolt is the fastest man on earth.

If you’ve seen the New York City Marathon live streaming video, you’ve likely noticed a number of interesting things about the elite runners lining the course. They’re all wearing the same shoes, and most of them have a GPS watch on their wrist. One of the reasons that many feel that the marathon is a cruel test of endurance is that it takes place in one of the toughest places on earth, where temperatures frequently reach 30 degrees below zero.

Aydan Bailey’s 1957 Chevy wagon appears like it was hauled in from the field, despite the fact that it’s just out for test runs. It does, however, have a hidden secret. Inside, you’ll find a twin-turbo LS engine, a complete roll cage, and the capacity to travel for hundreds of miles on the highway. What’s the point? To see who has the quickest and most honest street vehicle in the world.

Make your best pass on each drag strip before moving on to the next drag strip.

This isn’t the same as cable TV’s “outlaw” racing, which is usually manufactured drama wrapped over a well-scripted show. Instead, here is where you may customize your vehicle with features such as windshield wipers and turn signals. Then drive it 250 miles each day from drag strip to drag strip, making your greatest pass before moving on to the next.

The annual event was founded by Hot Rod Magazine in 2005, and since then, a second, unaffiliated event has sprung up in Colorado. As a result, these vehicles are designed to carry as well as crawl. The events of each day are broadcast live online, and tens of thousands of people remark and follow their favorite athletes on social media.

You can’t have a crew with you, and you can’t have a support truck full of components.

Tom and Aydan Bailey 1957 Chevy staging

For a week, participants perform this strip-to-strip. There are many guidelines to follow. You can’t have a team with you, and you can’t have a parts truck. To each strip, you carry your tools and additional components. It’s not uncommon for vehicles to break down by the side of the road. If you want to race on the highway, you’ll need to bring your slicks with you.

Trailers with small dimensions are allowed, but their size is limited. Finally, the driver with the fastest average time over the five days is named the Fastest Street Car In America. It’s difficult to pull off, but it makes every day a true mystery and drama, and it cuts through the nonsense.

We’re not talking about groceries when we say this 1957 Chevy was designed to carry.

Tom and Aydan Bailey 1957 Chevy making a pass

Aydan Bailey and Tom Bailey, 1957 YouTube courtesy of Chevy | Bailey

All of this is only a warm-up for Tom and Aydan Bailey of Ohio, who are restoring a rusted-out 1957 Chevy station wagon. Take a careful look since appearances may be deceptive. It was made to carry, and we’re not talking about groceries. But it was also designed to show that it could handle 1,000 miles of highway, city, and two-lane driving.

Tom has been through this before. He’s won the race previously, with his 1969 Camaro falling into the five-second twilight zone. Yes, a street-driven vehicle capable of completing the quarter-mile in under six seconds. It’s insane, but it’s entertaining.

Aydan Bailey now has more time to focus on building and booking.

And that’s where son Aydan comes in. Just out of high school, for years he’s been hanging around with his quiet, unassuming pop taking this all in. Now that he has his license, and can devote some time to build instead of books, he’s all in.

This is a father-son project that has been in the works for years, with the assistance of several racing buddies. Not because it took that long to construct, but because Aydan and Tom took that long to come up with a plan. Then you’d have to wait till Aydan was of legal age. And now we’ve arrived.

Before winding up in the Bailey stable, this vehicle was constructed by racer Richie Crampton. It has seen a wide range of engines and has raced on a wide range of tracks. It is well-known as the “S••tbox of Doom.” And now it’s a chance for the Baileys to join up for dragging and driving as father and son.

The Baileys are now in the midst of Rocky Mountain Race Week 2021.

Aydan Bailey's 1957 Chevy wagon Drag Week car

Aydan Bailey and Tom Bailey, 1957 Bailey from YouTube’s Chevy Drag Week

The Baileys are currently participating in Rocky Mountain Race Week 2021. The race began on Monday, and the competitors will race from Greatbend, Kansas, to Bandimere Speedway and other quarter-mile circuits. This week, on June 18th, it comes to an end.

Aydan is receiving his shakedown passes, some behind-the-wheel experience, and some arduous drives in 100-degree weather. It takes a toll on the machine, the driver, and the driver’s psyche. And there’s drama in that Tom and Aydan ran out of time getting the ’57 ready, so they didn’t have time to double-check anything when they arrived to the event. As a result, every pass is a pucker.

There are YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook updates throughout the day if you find this interesting and have some time to take everything in. It’s worth seeing if you like drag racing and genuine drama.

Every year, the Pittsburgh Half Marathon gets a lot of attention, with many people all over the country trying to beat the course record. This is a race that hasn’t had a new course record since 1988, when the race was held at the same time of year as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Super Bowl. The race was also held at the same time of year in 2006, but the course had been redesigned. This year’s course was designed by an athlete who is familiar with the region: Nate Brannen, a native of Pittsburgh. He’s a 32-year-old pro racer who has run sub-8:00 times on the track, but he’s also a mountain runner. He’s won races at Killington and Wildcat Mountain. Don’t Go RVing Without This Camping Checklist!

You can enjoy a great camping trip without being a “camping expert”, so don’t go RVing without this handy checklist that can save you money, confusion and embarrassment.

Camping is a lot of fun, but it can also be dangerous if you don’t plan ahead. Camping is an outdoor activity, so it can get pretty cold at night, and you may be camping at a remote location. This checklist will be of use to you even if you are planning on spending a week camping at your local campsite. Just remember, plan, prepare, and be safe when you go camping with your family or friends.

If you are thinking about RVing, you have probably been asked a thousand times, “When are you going RVing?” It can be embarrassing to admit that you haven’t been camping yet, but it’s a good idea to be honest about it. If you don’t have any experience RVing, go ahead and admit it. You’ll probably get a lot of questions about RVing, so it’s good to be prepared for them.. Read more about complete rv camping checklist and let us know what you think.

Whether you’re a seasoned RVer or a first-timer, there’s a lot to think about before hitting the road. This camping checklist is a must-have for any RV trip!

This camping checklist is a must-have for any RV trip!

Every journey is accompanied by a certain degree of tension as well as a sense of eagerness to be on the road. You may be in a hurry to get started at times. However, there is a laundry list of things you must check before hitting the open road. It’s critical to make sure your RV is safe (and roadworthy). We’ve put up a helpful RV camping checklist to make things simpler.

Nothing spoils a camping vacation – or transporting the RV anyplace – like an avoidable blunder. Seasoned RVers are aware of this checklist and make it a practice to go over it before leaving. From large motorhomes to small teardrops, most RVs have a long list of must-do items.

This is a really useful general list. You may choose to add additional things that are specific to your setup, or you may choose not to use all of the items.

The Ultimate Camping Checklist for RVs

It’s important to go through this camping checklist before you go to avoid any accidents. For the most part, it’s a good idea to have one person handle the interior and another handle the exterior. Then, by going down the list, double-check the work of the others. Two pairs of eyes are preferable than one.

Keeping your RV safe indoors

Begin your camping checklist by protecting your RV’s interior. This includes the following:

  • All windows, blinds, and roof vents should be closed.
  • Prepare the refrigerator for travel and make sure it’s locked up.
  • Place the TV and any other big objects in a safe place or secure them.
  • Organize any loose things (foldable baskets are great)
  • All cabinets, drawers, and internal doors should be closed with latches.

Shut off your RV’s systems.

Next, make sure that all of your RV’s switches and systems are switched off. This includes the following:

  • (You don’t want to deplete the auxiliary battery) Lights and accessories
  • Fans
  • Furnace or heater?
  • Cooling system (s)
  • heater of water
  • Pump for water

Motorhome parked at a campsiteBefore you leave, double-check your campground for anything you may have forgotten.

securing your RV from the outside

Following the interior of your RV, it’s time to go through the camping checklist for the exterior. This includes the following:

  • Reduce the height of the TV antenna and satellite dish.
  • Cell phone boosters should be retracted.

Check your RV & towing vehicle

You’re probably itching to go on the road now that everything is packed and secured. Before you leave, go through this checklist to make sure your RV and towing vehicle are in good working order. First and foremost, put your safety first.

  • Make sure your hitch connection and chains are in good working order.
  • Check the fluid levels in your RV and towing vehicle.
  • Check the connection on rigs with a toad.
  • All running lights, turn signals, brake lights, and headlights should be checked.
  • If you have any tie-downs, double-check them.
  • Look for any indications of leakage under your rig.
  • Ensure that your tires are in good working order by inspecting and testing them: Tire pressure should be checked, and lug nuts should be tightened.

Reduce the amount of work you have to do.

This step will not be necessary if this is the first trip of the season. Make the journey a bit simpler on your towing rig whether you’re returning home after a weekend getaway or going to your next destination. This is an essential aspect of RV towing safety.

  • Your gray and black tanks should be discarded.

If freshwater isn’t available along your journey, boondockers may choose to leave their freshwater tank full (or partly full). However, if you don’t need it, attempt to empty your new tanks. Fuel efficiency may be harmed by the heavy rain – hello, fuel anxiety.
