Harley, Yamaha and other companies are discontinuing some motorcycles in 2021. We’re glad some of them left. But others are like old friends who have been around for years. Yet we know that with the old comes the new. So here are the bikes that will fail in 2021.
Harley-Davidson Sportster | Harley Davidson
The Harley Sportster has been around for over 60 years – amazing when you think about it. In the Sportster aftermarket, there are probably more products over the years than for any other motorcycle. The first of these athletes will be Iron 1200, closely followed by Iron 883 and Forty Eight. When they run out, that’s the end of the Harley Sportsman.
Every iteration of the road has never gone well, despite a run since 2014. For example, 500 Street, 750 Street and Rhode Street were eliminated in 2021. We will have to wait and see what Harley has in store to replace this segment.

Yamaha R6 and VMAX
Yamaha’s big cruiser first appeared in 1985 as the V-Max. In 2009 it underwent a complete renovation. The famous V-Boost was like a turbo without a turbo. In fact, it opens the throttle valves at high rpm to increase airflow. But 2021 is the end of the line for a motorized cruiser.
The YZF-R6 was introduced in 1999 and revised in 2008. Yamaha still sells them for off-road use under the name R6 Race, but not after 2021.

Both will be gone by 2021.
2020 Ducati Monster 797 | Ducati

While the 937 is the soldier of the liquid-cooled Monster 797, it joins the Monster 1200, which will be taken out of production in 2021. If you want an air-cooled Ducati, there’s also an 803 Night Shift Scrambler.
2020 KTM Duke 790 | KTM
KTM Duke 690 and Duke 790
Only for two years, the 790 Duke will be ready after 2021. The good news is that the new 890 Duke and Adventures will certainly surpass the Duke 690 and 790 as KTM continues to evolve.
Although there are still engines in production that are about to be destroyed. These include the Yamaha Super Ténéré and the FJR1300, which have already been cancelled in Europe. With emission reductions in Europe, there are other models that, once in Europe, will not see the light of day in the United States.
Honda’s four-cylinder motorcycles are on the way, which means the VFR800F, VFR800X Crossrunner or VFR1200X will be available in this country, but not for long. They are dying because Honda decided not to make them meet the Euro 5 standard. See you around.
